Tony Moly Magic Foot Peeling Shoes: A Review

I’m not sure if you’ve seen this online or anything, but there are these booties that you put on your feet. In the booties there are chemicals that cause your feet to peel overtime. As you could imagine, when heard about these booties I became really intrigued. However, I had no clue where to buy them.

Well one day I walked into Ulta and noticed that had rearranged the whole store and right in front was skin care products. The really cute packaging of Tony Moly’s products caught my eye. While scrolling down the display I noticed that they had the foot masks that made your feet peel. I was so fucking excited...so I bought two.

The foot masks I found were Tony Moly’s Changing Magic Foot Peeling Shoes. Again, I found them at Ulta for $6.50.

*Disclaimer: There are pictures of feet in this post and I some people may feel that the pictures are gross. If you don’t like pictures of feet, please don’t go any further. However, there are many other blog posts that you may want to read!*

When I opened the packaging, it smelled fresh. The packaging states that it contains aloe vera and rosehip oil along with AHA extract from apple, lemons, and grapes. I didn’t really smell apples, lemons, or grapes, it just smelled fresh to me. According to the packaging the AHA is supposed to help with exfoliation...I’m assuming that is what makes your feet peel.

The directions are basically that you put your feet in the booties, put the piece of tape that is provided to make the booties tighter your feet, leave the booties on your feet until they absorb the liquid (about 1 hour to 1.5 hours), and then rinse your feet off. The packaging states that your feet will peel over the next 4-6 days.

After putting the booties on, you gotta relax for at least an hour!
Time to wash it off!
So I did this on a Saturday afternoon.

As you can see, my feet were very calloused. I’m not sure why my feet get so calloused so quickly...which is why I was so excited about this product.

Sorry my heels are so gross!!!

Sorry again!

When I took the booties off my feet did seem a little softer I suppose, but, obviously, they weren’t peeling yet.

Over the next few days, my feet appeared to get really dry and even more calloused, but they were not really peeling. There were a couple of spots on my toes and the balls of my feet that were peeling, but it wasn’t really that prevalent.

A few days later...will they ever peel?!

On the next Saturday (day 7) I noticed my feet felt really scratch on my sheets. I looked at my feet and they looked sooooooo gross. I probably should have worn socks at night.

Here they go....gross!
I also probably should have worn socks when I went shopping that day because when I took my Vans off dead skin was all in my shoes. (Sorry I know….gross).

Ugh!!! Soooo Gross!!!!!!!
Sorry again!
When I got home I took a shower and I just had to take my foot file to my feet after. I honestly couldn’t stand the feeling anymore.

After I got out of the shower my feet were not near as calloused as they were. My heels are still a little calloused, but those aren’t near as bad. I feel like the product made the really calloused parts of my feet (ie: my heels) peel a lot easier. (Sorry I suck and forgot to take after pictures!) They are actually still peeling a little bit a week later.

My Final Thoughts: These shoes were really cool. I would definitely use them again and I would totally recommend them. I mean, for $6.50, they aren’t too bad. I have a second one and I will totally be using it!
