Ipsy June 2016 Unboxing

I've been getting ipsy's bag for few months now. I typically get some pretty cool things, but the past two I felt like I was getting a lot of moisturizing things. That's typically okay with me since I have psoriasis, but summer is coming quickly in the south, and moisturizers make me feel even more sticky and greasy. Obviously, I was worried about this month's ipsy's bag due to the moisturizing things I have been getting in every single bag. Now before y'all say, you can go retake the quiz, but I'm lazy and I forget to do it....

This post is something that I've been wanting to do for a couple of months now. People do unboxings on YouTube all of the time, but I don't think I really want to make videos...at least not right now.

For those who do not know who may not know what ipsy is, it is a monthly subscription box that costs $10 per month (including taxes and shipping). It was founded by Michelle Phan, a YouTube sensation. The product comes in a different bag each month. The bag had mostly travel/sample size products, but most of the samples are a decent size. Sometimes you get full size items.

I always look foward to my bag this month. You always get an email for you to find out what you are going to receive early. I have done that once or twice, but I like to be surprised.

Now own to this month's bag!

This month's theme is "Rebel Rebel." The card in the package reads "Tag-Ipsy Says You're It. Misfits. Rulebreakers. Badass babes. The riot starts this June. We're hitting the strees with serious sizzle and signature looks. Coloring outside of the lines is encouraged. Sitting on the side of the lines is not. Show us your Rebel Rebel style! Tag #ipsy, #juneglambag + a friend to keep the throwdown going."

The bag is a graffiti looking design with a purple zipper.

The first thing is Seraphine botanicals blush in "Happy Hibiscus." It is a really pretty dusty rose color. The package for the blush states that it is 99% natural, vegan, has no mineral oils, no parabens, no phthalates, is gluten free, hypoallergenic, and made with nutrient-rich Kaolin clay. It's also not tested on animals. The size received in the bag is 0.07 oz, which, according to the website, is the full size. When ordered from the website, the blush is $18.00.

The next thing (and the most exciting thing for me) was the Urban Decay eye shadow in Fireball, and holy shit it is so pretty! According to the package, it's Urban Decay's 20th birthday and they wanted to give Ipsy some of the iconic shades for people to try out. It also states "It is peach or is it pink? No, you're not under the influence; this trippy doutone shade actually changes colors before your eyes." The packaging it came in is weird to me, but this isn't the first eye shadow I recevied from Ipsy like this. It's basically just in the pan with a piece of card stock (basically) wrapped around it. I really need to get a Z-pallet or something similar. The size of the eye shadow received is 0.03 oz. The regular size is 0.05 oz and is normally $18.00. There isn't that much difference in the size is there?

There is also a lovely crease and smudge brush from Royal & Langnickel brush. It's really nice and soft. I do wish that the crease side was a little less fluffy, but it may be good to blend with. I'll try it out and see what happens. The brush is also apparently vegan. The brush is a full size brush from their Moda line, which you can get from Walmart. The price of the brush is $5.99.

I also received a mascara by Doucce. It is their Boombastic Lash Volumizer mascara. I've never heard of the brand, so hopefully I'll like it.  The claims are that the brush coats the lashes evenly and that the formula will not smudge or flake. I'm not sure what the ounces are, but this is definitely a sample size. The actual mascara is $24.00.

Lastly, I received Marc Anthony's Dream Waves Beach Spray. It's funny because I was literally just thinking, I really want some beach spray for my hair. The spray claims to add moisture and shine to your hair due to hydrolyzed silk and provitamin B5, have powerful UV Protectors so that your hair will not fade, and it claims to work on even the straightest hair. The smell is wonderful! It smells like pina coladas and sun tan lotion. I can't wait to try it! The sample/travel size that I received is 1.52 fl oz. The regular size is 4.2 fl oz and costs $8.99.

This bag (if it were all full size at least) totals to $75! Just the blush and eye shadow make the $10 totally worth it!

If you click on the names of the products, it will bring you to the website to purchase the item. These are not affiliate links.

I think that this has yet to be my favorite bag. There have been times where I really don't care to use the products that are in the bag (hence all of the moisturizer stuff). I really hope I get more things like the things in this bag.

If you want to subscribe it ipsy, just click the link below. It is a referral link, and it will give me points towards discounts and free items. Ipsy did not pay me to do this and I did not get this bag for free, but it would be really awesome if you clicked on the link so I can get points!
