So for those of you who live under a rock and don't know this, today is October 26th! Meaning....two more months until Christmas!!! Okay two months minus one day, but either way I am SUPER EXCITED!!!
So I stated in an earlier blog post ('Tis the Season to Be Homemade) that I was planning on making most of the gifts this year. That still holds true, but I haven't made any yet...I need to get on it! I only have two more months!!! Luckily I have an idea of most of the things I'm going to be doing. The only present that I have I bought...but it was homemade, just not by me. I can't say who it's for or what it is, but it is in my apartment. :D
I still have a feeling that there will be food things cuz I love to bake! Baking is something that I've always been naturally good at...I really do think I have a gene for it or something. My grandfather loved to bake and both of my grandmothers baked a lot when I was growing up. Mema still bakes around holidays, my other grandmother passes away when I was eight. So I have inherited this lovely trait from my grandparents. The weird thing is that even though I LOVE to bake, the only baked goods I really crave are cookie...specifically these cookies that a friend of mine's mom bakes (shout out Mrs. Monarch) or either peanut butter cookies. Oh yeah and cupcakes, but that's a weird one because I don't like cake. I think it's because cupcakes are so damned cute! Ummm....maybe I'll make some soon :D
And for those of you who don't know....HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS Part I is coming out on November 19!!!! How FREAKIN exciting!!!! The bad thing is that I'm going to then have to wait for Part II!!! Sad days! :(
One last thing!! I'm wanting to sell coffee sleeves for anyone who wants one! I can make them for the coffee shop to go cups and I can crochet them for home coffee mugs and french press. They're good for the environment, good stocking stuffers for that coffee addict or college student, or good for Secret Santa or Bad Santa type gift exchanges.
