Running for My Life III


Hiii!! I know it's been a while since I posted anything about my jogging process, but I'm still exercising three times a week!! Sometimes it's more than that. Last Wednesday Phillip and I started this running program called Couch to 5k (click Couch to 5k to go to the plan).  It starts off extremely slow (alternating running 1 minute and walking a minute and a half for 20 minutes). You then work up over 9 weeks to run a 5k.  Since I'm planning on doing a 5k with the running club that Phillip has at the elementary school Phill works for in December, I feel like it's the perfect plan. I was right, it's perfect for a beginner.  Phillip has been doing the running program with me, and I have to say, he had helped me out soo much!!! I absolutely love running with him. I know he wants me to do well and he encourages me to do well.



It's not good to do just cardio so for strength training I do this video called Chalean Extreme.  I know that the name sounds extremely corny, but the workouts are GREAT!!! It comes from the same company that does P90X and the lady that does it is the same lady that does Turbo Jam. But I feel like I like it much better than I would like P90X. The workouts are only 30-45 minutes long, which fits in my schedule really well. I don't follow her calendar perfectly because there are some days that I go for a jog and even though I probably should do it, I don't feel like it, but hey at least I'm doing something.  

I'm extremely proud of myself for sticking with what I'm doing, it's been so hard for me to, but I know I have to do it and it'll make my life better!!!
