Just Dance

You're probably thinking great this is a post about Lady Gaga...well sorry you're wrong, but if it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty positive there will be a few of them. This has been a motto of mine since I was really young. I've always been the type of person to be smiling and dancing, even when I'm going through an extremely tough time in my life, God only knows that I've had plenty of them. I'm not a ballerina or professional dancer by any stretch of the imagination, but I like to have fun while dancing. When I dance, no matter how ridiculous it may look, it gives me the couple of minutes to just stop life where it is and not worry about anything. The age of 14 was one of the toughest times of my life. A lot changed that year, and I got through it by, you guessed it, dancing. I remember the time that my aunt walking in on me dancing and she was like what are you doing? I was like, "uhhhh dancing?" About two days later I was woken up by someone in my room. When I looked up and asked Becky what she was doing she looked at me and said "it's your dance studio." She then turned around and walked out of the room. I still think of that day and it makes me laugh. I'm just happy that I can find joy in doing something that looks ridiculous, something that makes me laugh at myself, something to make the moment just a bit lighter.

I believe that people should stop for a moment sometime and just dance. Take their minds off of things. People will be so much more healthier if they do that, at least mentally. People could lead happier lives because just that few minutes of stepping back and NOT thinking takes a whole world off of your shoulders. So JUST DANCE!!!!! Just do it. It doesn't matter if it's in your car, at work, or randomly on the sidewalk. Who cares if everyone in the world thinks you're on crack?

And as Gaga would say....
Gunna be okay, da-doo-doo-doo, Just dance!
